My wife loves to garden and we heard about Arbico Organics on a weekend radio gardening show on 590 KLBJ Austin. We decided to order some beneficial nematodes for our raised beds and flowers. We verified the viability using our son’s microscope. The video is from 300x magnification. We are pleased with quality and look forward to improving our soil conditions and reducing pests.
Purchased 200 Stethorus punctillum (spider mite destroyer). Spent $230. Finally received them after 2 weeks. Half of them already dead. Cold pack enclosed was room temperature. Those that were still alive didn't touch spider mites. Waste of time and money. I won't be using this company again.
Finding the product and ordering were straightforward. After a several day delay (order placed on May 13), and no contact I reached out for a status on my order (# 787413) and was told that 2 of the nematodes were out of stock and they were waiting for a new batch, then quality assurance before shipping. I appreciate that level of attention. However, the product when delivered (May 21) smelled like bad milk, meaning the medium in the package had turned. I've been using beneficial nematodes for about 4 years now and I'm overly pleased with my results every summer. I always order from arbo except twice and I was displeased so I learned from my mistake! I always look at mine under a microscope to make sure of the viability and this year at first I expected to leave a very negative review because I was shorted on my order of over $200 and one box of them were not viable one box was very viable and I hadn't looked at the third box yet because I hadn't applied them. Ordered item was back-ordered. No indication when ordering. Took 2 weeks (after reaching out twice) to notify me. Almost three weeks later ... no estimated delivery date. They didn't charge card which was good. I still rate it a 1-star experience as I've now waited almost three weeks and had to cancel my order.
