Avant Media Institute has been a solid experience for me as an audio engineering student. I’ve gained hands-on experience using Pro Tools, recording, and mixing in a real studio environment. The program pushes you to stay consistent and actually develop your skills, especially if you’re serious about music or production. The school is great for anyone who wants to build a foundation in audio engineering. They won’t teach everything you need to know but they will help you get moving and demystify a lot of concepts that are difficult to understand. The staff are really down to earth and helpful. I would suggest coming in with an idea of what you want to do. They cover everything from recording to mixing, mastering, post production, beat making and live sound. After coming to Avant Media Institute, I feel like I’ve found my people. All of the teachers and students are so driven and have such positive, supportive energy. I’ve loved every class. If you are looking to get into the world of Audio Engineering, you have come to the right place. Avant Media Institute is fully equipped and all the staff involved are all fun people that are currently in the business so you’ll be getting updated information and knowledge in most if not all aspects of audio engineering, from recording all the way to live sound. I definitely recommend all interested to attend and amplify their knowledge, Avant will become almost like a second home.
