I had a backup in my basement and Belfor was assigned to the claim by my Insurance company. From the initial response on the night of the backup, through to the completion of the repairs, Belfor was fantastic. Myles Kirkhammer was the project manager and he did a great job. Water damage and sewer repairs brought us to Belfor through our insurance provider. I haven't had historically amazing experiences with insurance and I was worried that this would extend to their restoration company choices. Boy was I wrong. The immediate Belfor restoration crews that came to my home were kind, respectful and hard working. If I could, I would give negative stars. Belfor has horrible people to deal with. They are rude, do sloppy work (the project managers) and don’t care about you. If using Belfor through your Insurance, document and take photos of EVERYTHING. If you notice discrepancies/sloppy work, which you’ll find, make sure to report it and have the proof. Anyway, I wanted to wish Belfor a HAPPY ONE YEAR since you said you started work on our Rec Room and when it was completed a few weeks ago from a different restoration company.

Super rude, disrespectful workers. Maybe if you're a man they're nicer. Won't even acknowledge me if I try to talk to them so here we are. Neighbour is getting work done for the past month, and so for a month my 2 year old hasn't been getting her naps. Getting woken up 3 hours earlier than usual for the day doesn't help either. It's a residential neighborhood. Not a construction site. We don't need to hear them screaming every swear in the book at each other because they can't just talk. They need to yell apparently. Belfor was assigned to our claim when we had a water leak in the house and were there within the hour to stay start the drying process at 9pm at night. Sheanna (Shawna? Sorry!) was respectful, responsive and great to work with. Myles Kirkhammer was our project manager, he always responded quickly to my questions and was down to earth. The crew was polite and kept their work areas very clean. Going through a major water event is highly emotional - thank you Belfor for making it easier.
