Extremely disappointed. Employees lack knowledge of tasks, causing delays. Manager promised schedule but failed to deliver. Blamed insurance for delays, but insurance company hasn't received quotes. Belfor lied to insurance about site visits. Repairs are still not complete and have had 0 communication from them on when they will be returning.
Our entire basement was flooded in January due to a city water main break. After the November 2021 flooding, I think demand for these types of services was higher than ever and our initial contractor was struggling to keep the restoration on track. Eventually, we switched to BELFOR and thank goodness we did. From the very beginning, their service was professional, transparent and highly responsive. Belfor Victoria did amazing work. The staff were knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. I was kept fully informed by the project manager, Adam on where my claim was, what was happening behind the scenes and how long it would take to complete. From the dehumidifier installation and removal to the flooring removal and reinstall with my furniture being moved around ( thank you ladies) it was a job well done.
Had a crew from belfor in for first aid today at Alert First Aid and just wanted to say what a lovely group! So respectful, polite and fun!
Came out fast for initial flooding and set up dehumidifier. However, repair cut corners, left evidence of the water damage… communication and follow through was pathetic, complicated by triangulation between manager, brutal insurance adjuster and us. They were obviously so overbooked when the low bid for the job that they could not follow through and do it appropriately and in the timely way all around awful experience.
