We procured a pivot door with electric motor and Mahoney finished, but received a metal door without a locking mechanism or trim; and NO specifications for the motor"; essentially a piece of metal at a cost of $52,00.00 US. FBS and all it's employee has refused to answer their phones and the occasion times we got an answer lead no where. We have had to resort to legal advice. Horrible and dishonorable company whose sole purpose was to steal our funds!! Actually NO stars!
We hired FBS Custom Security Doors to install a $27,000 door for our house of worship, in Ponte Vedra Beach, expecting both beauty and enhanced safety. Unfortunately, the installation was never properly completed. The paint has been peeling since installation, and most concerning—the door was installed as an in-swing, which is against fire code. This company took our money and left us with a ballistic door that is hinged to go the opposite of what we asked and the veneer is all bubbled. They kept the lock we paid for. Promised to come fix it by 7/14/25. They have been refusing to take our calls and ignored our letter. Do not trust them. David V. lied multiple times. Do not do business with them. ...a Jacksonville area Synagogue.
In Jamaica unfortunately the need for safety and security is very real. When building our home we needed that assurance and FBS was exactly what we needed. The quality finish is unmatched with its beauty but the hidden strength and security of this door is unbelievable. From ordering, design, shipping and installation FBS was with me every step of the way. Definitely 100% satisfied and I would recommend them to anyone that needs both beauty and function.
UPDATE: March 23, 2025 Beware and proceed with caution if you are even thinking about buying a door from David. Read all the reviews and believe what everyone is saying. We waited two years for our door with months of excuses. Our door was finally ready after two years and our home burned down. David would not return our money and was very rude.
