Hotel Palacio del Rio was a great selection on the river walk. Its has a very upscale entry. My daughter had a lot of fun in the rooftop pool. It had a nice view as well. We had a balcony room with a nice river view. We could see the boat tours as they passed. The beds were so comfy. They left ear plugs on the night stand for us with a note. We didn't realize it until the Spurs won how rowdy it can get on the street. But once the balcony door was closed, all of the noise was blocked out. I would definitely stay at this hot... read more

My family and I were in town for the Women’s International COGIC Convention in San Antonio, Texas. We stayed a week at the hotel and had a wonderful time. The rooms were immaculate and the balcony view was awesome. The staff were very nice and provided exceptional customer service. We had thousands of women and men in attendance at the convention and the staff treated all of us very well. No attitudes or mean expressions, just service with a smile. I did not have the pleasure of personally staying on property, but my parents did for their retirement celebration, and I wanted to surprise them with wine in their room upon arrival. The room service staff was incredible, specifically one of the managers Janete! She was so helpful in including a note for them, as well as efficient and communicative to let me know her team took care of it! She also had a wealth of recommendations for their stay!

I have been to the Hilton Palacio del Rio many times for both personal and business stays and each time the experience gets better and better! From the moment you are greeted by the friendly faces at the valet parking area to the front desk clerks to the very talented housekeeping folks (I need a class in bedmaking after staying at the Palacio!) to the wait staff at the restaurants, you are treated like you are their one and only guest. Clean rooms, great downtown location, nice and easy pick-up and drop-off at the front door. There is construction going on in front of the location, has nothing to do with the hotel, but it makes traffic a bit annoying with bottlenecks forming. All-in-all, this is a great location to stay in. Oh! And great bar located inside. It's a bit on the pricey side but a very nice environment.
