I have been following Medicine Man Gallery on Instagram. He has always seemed to me to be a kind thoughtful person caring about the items he describes in his posts. I recently won a serape at auction for $47. It was so unusual I spent a good amount of time googling images to try and learn about it. Only finding a handful of similar serapes I reached out to Mark to see what he thought.. He quickly replied, "This is a called an aggregate Saltillo Serape, value if in excellent condition is $2500 and dates from the 1880-90’s." ... read more

I had spoke with Mark Sublette owner of Medicine Man Gallery. I have to say is one of the best in the Native American industry. He is a very knowledgeable man. I needed some info on two Navajo rugs and a Rio grande revival blanket circa 1940-60. The Navajo ones are from 1910 the other 1920. Also a small painting possibly done by Gerald Cassidy! I love this place. It is a true local treasure. Mark is an amazing collector and curator. I have bought beautiful turquoise and bronzes from him. Wonderful paintings. Thank you for being one of Tucsons coolest places.
I reached out to them for advice / help with a belt that I've been curious about for a long time and I was so surprised that not only did they reply quickly but they agreed to help me figure out this piece from AZ ( I'm in Cali) I was expecting a cold reply as good customer service is rare now and everyone wants to be paid for everything.
