The Rockford MVP staff are very friendly and instructors/trainers are very knowledgeable. I workout first thing in the morning and have made a lot of new friends over the past 8 years. The culture is one of encouragement and high fives. I do the sprint 45, zone 45 and torch 45 classes burning on average over 1,500 calories each class. MVP Rockford offers a variety of great amenities including many awesome classes from turf, to court, to cycle, to classroom!!! Rockford has two beautiful pools. 4 Lane lap pool (81-82 degrees), warm pool (93-94 degrees) great for kiddos and swimming lessons and everyone else who loves warm swimming. Clean facility. Wide variety of fitness classes. Wish weekend hours in the winter would go back to pre covid. Not a lot to offer for the 8 to 11 age group. Too young to be alone in the gym, but most have "outgrown" kids stuff. Wish they could be on the turf with a parent or that there were class options for that age that did not cost extra.
I have been a member for almost 9 years and am thrilled with my experiences! From swimming lessons for my children to personal training for myself, I love that my children get to see first hand how exercise and mental health are important for all ages and are lifelong aspirations not just a one and done.
The gym is clean. However, they need to change ge the classes to make them more difficult and longer. 45 minutes isnt enough. They also need to add more classes. Specifically, more cycling classes. Staff isnt as friendly as they used to be. Its not difficult to smile and say hi to members when they enter and leave the club.
