I have been here a few times but had to delete my 5 star review because of my experience last night. I am currently switching insurance but showed that it is active, just not updated through my insurance company but would be within the week. They told me that they could bill my insurance only if they deemed my issue to be urgent. Got back to triage quickly, while waiting there were a couple of roaches in the room. Came here today due to the worst chest pains 😫. Once I arrived Stephanie took my information due to me not having any insurance as of yet with my current employer. She was able to get me information and a much needed medical assessment immediately and did not turn me away i barely even felt the couch in the waiting room, that's how fast they got me in..Mr.Spencer and Ms.Betty were the absolute best nurses I've met in San Antonio they listened to what I was saying made me feel comfortable and started testing me asap. I've never been to an Emergency Room like this!! I had such a good experience at the City Base location! I want to thank all the staff for taking care of me and treating me like royalty! From the moment you walk in the receptionist is kind and rushes to get you to a room. I didn't wait longer than 5 minutes to be seen by a doctor! The nurse, doctor, and radiology technician were all so kind and informative. They explained everything to me step by step! They offer you refreshments and cater to your every need! Excellent!!! I did not feel scared with more worries leaving here. It will be worth the money. I feel like they actually check everything and they told me about all the tests they ran. The nurses were so nice and held my hand because I don't like needles and the Dr. Was not a know it all and he was not condescending for me running in to make sure my problem wasn't a big problem. The best healthcare I have ever received in my entire life. I'm serious. I received a call back for a check up. Keep up the good work!
The technician that came in my room first was horrible. When she asked me a question, I was taking a moment to think of the date and she rolled her eyes (trying to be funny as if I was taking too long) at the attending nurse and once I looked at her, she stopped as if I already didn't see her. The nurse was great and very helpful.
