The therapist I was assigned (Autumn Randall)doesn’t take feelings into consideration, is critical to feedback, not enough depth or care to fully understand what I need out of it. gives feedback to minimize/deflect you instead of motivating/encouraging. Very rigid thinking and not willing to compromise to understand different perspectives about your situation. I explained precisely what I need, and their goal wasn’t to nurture my skills and strengths.. but their idea of fixing me and leave me in doubt.

So firstly I will say I never had an issue with the counselor. For starters this place is not for someone individually for help. I would say it’s for people who are mandated by the state, dui, etc Second I repeatedly had issues with people interrupting the session by just walking in for non emergency reasons. Some were apologetic some flat out didn’t care. It happened several times. I have never seen a therapist before I scheduled an appointment with Rego Park Counseling and I did not know what to expect. Since day one the front desk staff is always timely, friendly, and very communicative with scheduling. My therapist Sam is simply stellar. She has been always attentive to my concerns, caring in approach, and sensitive to my needs. My appointments with Sam at Rego Park Counseling has been a totally positive experience that has enhanced my everyday life 100%

I had a very disappointing experience at Rego Park Counseling with Anastasia, the psychologist/therapist. I booked multiple appointments and consistently waited over two hours sometimes even longer without being seen on time. It’s frustrating and confusing why they schedule appointments if they can’t honor them. The office is clearly overbooked, and at one point, sessions were even being held in the hallway due to lack of space. This is completely unprofessional and not an environment conducive to therapy.
