*knights at slavo* (update: the pet fee issue was handled. Unfortunately there was so much miscommunication from insurance and surf or sound. It could’ve been handled on a more professional level.) I’m not even going to disclose which house my family stayed in, because according to other reviews- it seems there are quite a few people disappointed. To start the trip off, we walked inside and the house seemed beautiful! It was pet friendly, so we brought two dogs (that we paid for) and one service animal. Upon opening the bedrooms, we found torn up carpets, doors hanging from the hinges that didn’t shut, scratches from the flooring to about three feet up the walls, and it smelled like cigarette everywhere there was car... read more
The house itself was nice and matched the listing, but the pool situation was very bad. We paid extra for a heated pool, yet the heater was broken when we arrived, the pool wasn’t clean, and the gate and fence were unsafe for kids. Despite several calls and promises to fix things, the pool wasn’t usable until near the end of the week, and I ended up repairing the gate myself. Disappointing experience overall — fine house, poor maintenance and follow-through.
We stayed at Seven Cousins Cottage #603. The house is gorgeous but the furniture in the great room is outdoor couches & chairs so they are rather uncomfortable but overall a fantastic home! We go to the Outer Banks annually and have stayed at a Vacasa managed property for the last couple of years and switched this year because of extremely poor experiences with their management. Our family absolutely LOVED TIME & TIDE! It is now one of our favorites! Time & Tide is not only beautiful, it is SO MUCH COZIER with the house layout. The house was immaculate, extremely well stocked, great cookware, comfortable beds & furniture, and super nice bathrooms. Heated pool and steps to the beach!!! This year we tried the OUTER BANKS BOIL COMPANY for one of our family dinners. The ENTIRE EXPERIENCE WAS AMAZING. They came in, did all the work & cleaned up all the mess.
