I’m not even going to disclose which house my family stayed in, because according to other reviews- it seems there are quite a few people disappointed. To start the trip off, we walked inside and the house seemed beautiful! It was pet friendly, so we brought two dogs (that we paid for) and one service animal. Now I see why this office of S or S has such bad reviews here. We rented Beach Babies #1130 on 07/05/25 and it was a wonderful house, the owner really has it super nice! Our S or S contact Penny called Monday 07/07 to check on us. I told her 3 TV remotes were missing batteries and the first-floor balcony light was out. She delivered the batteries the next morning and no word on the light. That morning I discovered the extra sheets I ordered for new people coming were gone. Stayed at a place for a vacation.. overall, horrible. 11 bathroom house with only 3 rolls of toilet paper and 3 soaps. We didn’t get in at 4.. more like 5p & the house wasn’t even clean. No spatula or hand soap.. floors were dirty, multiple areas of water damage around the roof and showers. Pool heater was broken. The elevator is loud.. the worst things, we lost power twice & the water is warm at best to shower. Plus, the trash runs 12a to 3a.. which results in loud banging and you are unable to ignore it.
The house itself was nice and matched the listing, but the pool situation was very bad. We paid extra for a heated pool, yet the heater was broken when we arrived, the pool wasn’t clean, and the gate and fence were unsafe for kids. Despite several calls and promises to fix things, the pool wasn’t usable until near the end of the week, and I ended up repairing the gate myself. Disappointing experience overall — fine house, poor maintenance and follow-through.
