I have had Zochnet for several years, and have been pleased with the service. We do often lose service in the middle of the night as my son is doing his online classwork which is annoying. Sometimes the service is lost because of the positioning of the receiver being on the water tower, but that is often due to electrical not Zochnet. When there has been a problem, tech services are cordial and quick to respond. We will continue service until an affordable higher speed option is available.
When it works it works good. When it goes out it is usually on a holiday or weekend and Zochnet has no live answering service during these times so we are just stuck without internet til they open. Sadly . 🥲 Alot of folks have switched to a different internet due to this. A surprise refund or something would be nice, especially considering Jan 1st Zochnet let us down. We have 4 houses on Zochnet and are looking to probably switch over to a different internet service at all the places.
Response to system issues is below what we have experienced with other service providers. We get no status updates and promised return calls from support staff never happen. When we have issues we submit tickets and calls and they seem to go into a black hole. Also system reliability is not as good as other providers. It seems our service only drops during off hours (weekends, night, holidays) and no one at Zochnet knows about it until we call during the next normal business hours.
Zochnet has been our provider for years and the greatest thing is their service. Real people that are responsive, speak excellent English, don't respond off some script but actually tune in to your needs. We could go to other companies but Zochnet's service keeps us loyal.
The speed for non gig plans is really good though I wish we could get line of sight gig. The uptime is actually way better than expected. I depend upon Zochnet to keep in touch with work and it is well over my expected up time. When there is an outage they check to be sure you are back up as expected. Finally, customer service is fantastic and friendly.
