We booked this hotel because we were attending the K-State/Texas Tech game. We arrived at the hotel to check in at 3pm which is the normal check in time. We were told by the person at the front desk (who was very nice and only the bearer of bad news) that the Texas Tech basketball team was staying at the hotel and that our room was one of the rooms they were using. Travelling for business. Came in on a Sunday night and feared we'd only be able to eat at Applebee's. Found a great wine bar just a few blocks down the road. The gym was clean, just wish I would have brought my bathing suit for the pool and hot tub. Quaint area for being in the middle of nowhere.
I was satisfied with the accommodations, but I noticed that the nice smooth tile on the bathroom floor and shower tub floor is abnormally slick once it got a little wet. I wonder if the cleaning agent used may be leaving a "slick" residue?? There were plentiful hand rails around the bathroom so that helped the situation.
Nice hotel with a friendly staff. It was in close proximity to a lot of must see places in Manhattan.
My stay was great and the only problem i had with one person making noise at night was corrected as soon as i informed the front desk.
We have stayed here many times when coming to Manhattan and have never had a bad experience. The rooms are clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful and the area is awesome. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
