All I can say is Dr. Makarawo SAVED my life. I was in extreme pain with severe diverticulitis. What I didn't know is that my colon had swollen so much that I was at the precipice of total obstruction and perforation. "Dr. Mak" as he is affectionately called, thought he was doing a simple sigmoidectomy using robotics and quickly realized he had to do a lot more work and opened me up. 9 hours later my problem was gone forever. Dr. Makarawo is very knowledgeable and caring. I am so thankful he is my Dr.! I was very nervous for this appt. To my delight Dr Makarawo had an excellent and reassuring bedside manner. My exam and surgery went much better then I anticipated. Highly recommend!

Exceptional and then some. Dr. Makarawo has treated my 96 year old mother since November 2019. He performed two difficult rectal surgeries when other doctors said there was nothing that could be done. Dr. Makarawo has a very holistic approach in treating patients with kindness and compassion. He has restored my mother's quality of life, and for that we will be eternally grateful. We highly and unequivocally recommend Dr. Makarawo.
