Dr Akhtar is so compassionate and friendly and really cares about her patients. She made me feel very comfortable.
She is amazing. Great bedside manner and so smart. She was great at exposing what she would due during my procedure and things to expect. She is very direct but also compassionate to what you’re going through. She even helped to put a great team of doctors together to work on my case. I’m very thankful for her knowledge.
Coordinated the anesthesia with my cardiologists. I thought I was waiting for the operation to start when I was already in the recovery room. Follow up visit went smoothly.
Dr Akhtar is a wonderful and caring doctor! She has a great bedside manner and was super good about staying in touch with me via email, texts, phone and tele visits both before and after my colon resection. She managed to do my surgery laparoscopically rather than with a full incision, and kept me from needing a colon ostomy bag. I have given her the super-hero name of Dakhtar! Use it when you see her and she will get a chuckle out of it!
Doctor was nice and thorough BUT procedure was scheduled for the week after the appointment but got no response when inquired about a prescription that needed to be sent to pharmacy. Must be a new office and not enough staff . Even cancelling the procedure took a few days. Won’t go back. I reached out many times
This doctor made a poor decision that cost me over a grand after doctor's fee and labs. She does not get back to you in proper time. She will require scans of you that cost tons of money, when you don't really need them. I found this out only upon getting another doctor to review my issue. I wasted weeks trying to get updates from this doctor, and getting tossed around, all the while costing me more money and for nothing.
