They dug up our lawn without notifying us. I live in Clifton Park New York. Presumably, they want to compete with **** and ******** so they added their cables to our lawn perimeter. The made a mess. It's a week later and they still haven't taken down their flags. The promised to plant grass seed and restore our lawns but they have not. I would not go with their service for anything and will pass along the word. This company is not reputable, honest, upfront, trustworthy, from what I can help. I gave one star but if I could g... read more

Communication was okay. It's clear they are using a cobbled together system. I received a lot of updates about what they were working on, but scheduling and confirming installation and billing was a disconnected and barebones process. They sent me my first bill AFTER they had charged me incorrectly and said there was nothing they could do to fix it. The actual internet service has been fine, no better or worse than ********, but at this point it is significantly more expensive. The outside installed also showed up without no... read more

Business response:

The customer reached out to Greenlight Networks with questions about their first bill. There is an option when placing the order to choose "installments" and unfortunately that option was not checked. The install fee was then automatically charged on her first bill. Regarding attaching our services to the outside of her home - after placing the order, an explanation of what will happen next is emailed to the customer and the process is also outlined on our website. In order to get any utility into the house, an entry point m... read more

Terrible customer service. If your thinking bout switching to theses guys, DONT. I am an auto pay customer. My card was lost/stolen had to cancel. They shut my service off and didn't call me after the card didnt go through. I called them gave them my new card and they charged me 25 bucks for a couple of key strokes. I have paid faithfully for over a year. It's amazing how fast they became like everyone else. Called back. Gave me an absolute runaround. Look elsewhere for service.

Business response:

Greenlight Networks makes bills available each month via our Greenlight Networks Portal. We send required notices by email to the address the customer provided to Greenlight Networks for their Greenlight Account. If a card is declined, an email notification of payment due is sent immediately as well as on the 3rd, 6th, and 8th days, before the account is locked on the 9th day. The first time that payment is declined the $25 activation fee is waived. In this case, this was not the first time that this customer account was loc... read more

Do NOT trust Greenlight Networks! On 12/19/22, the installer mounted and hooked up the network box on the wall of my front porch, the main entrance to the home, mere feet from the front door, and now the siding feet from the main door to the home has been drilled through and compromised! 4 of their representatives mentioned that the box should not have been installed there and listed a few places it would have been better suited. For the following weeks, I attempted to contact Greenlight customer service, but never got conne... read more

My internet has been down for the past four days now, called them and they told me they don't know when they will fix my internet the worst customer service ever. I am thinking of switching. They are the worst.

Business response:

Due to the heavy snow storm on Friday, March 3rd, we had over 150 customers that were out of service. Our crews had been working 12 hour days, including that Sunday and we brought crews in from Buffalo, Albany and Binghamton to assist. We also had our contractors assisting to get customers back in service - we asked all of our customers to please be patient, we were doing our best to get to everyone back up and in service as quickly as we could. The reason we could not give an eta was because some of the downed lines take an... read more

I had indicated that I was interested in Greenlight on 15 December 2022. I foolishly responded to a promotion that included waiving of the installation fee and an ****** gift card, to be provided after installation. I then heard nothing from Greenlight for over a month – the next e-mail was received on 30 January. Then I received a text message indicating that free installation would only be free if completed on 31 January whilst appointments last. In other words, whereas I waited for Greenlight for over a month, they demand... read more

Business response:

Greenlight Networks lists in the terms and conditions the following: "If you no longer wish to have our service, please contact us at ###-###-#### or email us at *******@******************.com to cancel your order. You must notify us prior to the outside fiber being run to your home. Failure to do so may result in a $100 installation fee being charged to your account. An installation fee will be charged if the service is not installed within 30 days of outside work completion or cancelled prior." We are more than willing to ... read more

Greenlight network has truly terrible customer service. If anything happens to your service after 8pm, NO ONE will respond to you. They feel it's ok to leave thier customers with no service, and also don't feel like they should have to answer questions. This is a world where people DEPEND on thier internet service ALL THE TIME. Not just 8-8 monday through Friday. I seriously caution against using them if you rely on having your internet work when you need it. No serious tech company lacks 24hr customer service, its 2022!

Business response:

Few things. Could not find this person as a customer anywhere in our system. However, where we do not have people answering the phones 24/7 (it is very costly for the few calls we get), we do have our Network Operations Center open and monitoring 24/7/365. When issues happen, they are aware and react accordingly. ALSO - we have the customer portal that allows anyone to submit a ticket 24/7/365. ALSO when our NOC team sees an outage, a ticket is opened on behalf of the customer who are alerted via email and, if they opted in,... read more
