They showed up in our place in Florida as promised. They were on time and called ahead to tell us when they would be showing up. Liberty is associated with United Moving Lines, and United does an excellent job. The trucker is himself an experienced mover, and his crew worked under his close supervision, and did an excellent job. The final accounting was exactly as the estimate, and they only charged us once we received and accounted for all our things. All communication was pleasant and professional. Estimator was a certified moving consultant with many years of experience. He was knowledgeable and informative. The quote was outrageously high, I think to a great extent because they overestimated the weight of my belongings (compared to the other movers who bid and my last move).

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! I hired them for a personal move from NYC to Putnam County and they will sell you the stars and moons and claim to be the best in the business. Steve Eschebauer booked the move for us and Mary Purcell coordinate the local move. Once the movers arrived, it was clear to us that it would be enough man power to handle the move. 0 friends 17 reviews 1.0 star rating 2/15/2017 They told me I needed 4 guys for the job, when 3 were needed (even according to the crew that day). They later said the 4th person reduced the man hours needed, however the 4th person identified himself as the "driver only" and did very little to help the other 3. He supervised, put some boxes together, and hung out. I'm not sure why I had to pay to have a driver/supervisor on the job. This Company contracted with us to pack our belongings here on Long Island and unpack them in S. Carolina. Although they showed up on time and the three men who packed the truck did well, they came without enough room on the truck to fit everything that was contracted. They didn't give us any options and off they went. They arrived in S.Carolina on time but with same driver and new crew to unload. The crew there threw boxes up the stairs and broke valuable pieces. The first quoted me $7,913.68 then once moved charged $12.209.69. They dont know how to quote their prices properly. They also damaged my property like my sleep number bed and a grandfather clock. I put in a claim and never heard back from them.

DO NOT USE THEM !!!!! 6 boxes did not arrive not only have they denied but they falsified the documents when making their evaluation. On my copy of the inventory control sheet 6 boxes are missing on their copy which is the top copy that american express obtained for me they circled the 6 boxes as received after the fact. in addition they charged me for crating ( $1200 ) they do not crate they double boxed and they ran out of boxes and an antique syrian inlaid chair was not packed and now is lost. In a word or two...absolutely terrible. Moving is one of the most stressful activities in your adult life so to prepare we took the time to read all the reviews here of the leading companies in the area. Afterwards we received on-site estimates from the two final contenders. What was interesting is that all of the estimates were within $25 of each other. Unique to Liberty was the salesperson used an Ipad application to document each and every item we were moving including the exact amount boxes we had packed and their sizes.... read more

They came 40 mins early therefore we were not ready. They sent to young guys and an older guy. The two young ones were lazy, non responsive, did NOT do much, were careless & broke things. They were slow bc they got paid by the hour. Tacked on another few thousand by the end. Added 2013-09-12: The complaint was not solely to the increased in cost, it was due to the fact they were being lazy, which resulted in the increased cost.
