Excellent service and trustworthy! Lots of people in this field exaggerate repairs. Only company I found that was looking out for your best interest and not just their pocket books. Will use them again and again for my other properties.

Business response:

"Hello, Thank you so much for that great compliment, we are big on applying "The Golden Rule", I am glad that shines bright out there were the rubber meets the road! As for your other properties, we will be glad to have a look when you are ready for that, just say the word and we'll come out and do what we do! At your service, Tom Pelletier, Owner The Foundation Works" Read more

He came the next day, did a thorough examination of our foundation, which we paid for to expedite the sale, with the understanding that the buyer may or may not choose to use his retrofitting service, hence the 150.00, which was quite reasonable considering the detailed explanation we got of the foundation, including the soil under the house. He was not only quite knowledgeable, but understood that we were not and explained everything we needed to know very clearly. The very next day he emailed us a detailed report with pict... read more

Business response:

"Hi There! Well thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience, I am so glad that it was the right medicine at the right time as yes, escrow can sometimes be a trying time for sure! As for the "older home" factor, older homes are almost exclusively all we do, we love 'em! The craftsmen who built these older homes were often masters at the craft, so it is a pleasure to come in and "reboot" their work many decades later. Well great success to you with the sale of your home, we will be at the ready if we can pro... read more

Matt Frey came out to inspect my property and he was 5 minutes early which I appreciated. (I am tired of contractors showing up late!). He crawlers all under the house, took plenty of pictures, made sketches to demonstrate the problems and issues. He then provided detailed inspection report via email two days later with cost breakdowns which fit in the budget we had talked about on his visit. The project was approved and a date was selected. The crew that came out to perform the work were early - thank you. There were five v... read more

Business response:

"Hi There, Glad to hear that Matt did his usual head-to-toe inspection of the foundation, it is that which of course forms the basis for all the work that follows! As to your vote of confidence, we are so very appreciative of that will continue of course to do all that we can to hold the standard and even improve upon it! At your service, Tom Pelletier, Owner The Foundation Works" Read more

These guys are PROS... plain and simple! Our "first contact" inspector (Keith Whallett), the crew team leader (Dieter), Dieter's hard-working team (Mark, et al) & the office staff (Ann & Marie) all exhibited the following: * Complete competence in performing their particular role in a timely manner * Articulate explanations of exactly what was happening at each stage & what I needed to do or prepare for * Courtesy (I was treated with respect throughout by the entire team) * Deference to our needs as homeowners living in thei... read more

Business response:

"Wow, fantastic, I love it! Thank you so much for the play-by-play, I am so glad to hear that at each stage, you were met with satisfaction throughout the process! As for the claustrophobia, I can say for sure that hanging out in the crawl space is definitely not for the faint of heart, but good for you for suiting up and heading down anyway! Sometimes it can be a bit frustrating to "pull off the magic" but at the same time, know that nobody will probably ever lay eyes on it because it is nearly impossible to get too! So wit... read more

The companyresponded promptlyto my request for a proposal. Matt Frey performed the (free) inspection. He arrivedon scheduleone morning and later in the day he provided a written proposal for repairs only, along with a recommendation and separate proposal for repairs and seismic retrofitting. The written proposalincludedexplanations that were easily understood by a lay person (me), sort of "Foundations 101." Once I made a decision, the company scheduled the work. The men who performed the actual work reported on time and were... read more

Business response:

"Hello, I'm glad that you're enjoying the weekly e-mails we send out, they are meant to be informative, and to simply arm you with more and more ways to protect your home well into the future. Now that your foundation is seismically prepared, you've taken a great step in protecting the house against earthquakes and the weekly tips will tell you other things (aside from the foundation) that could also be done to further extend the overall useful life of other components as well (not services we offer, but just general advice ... read more

I've been really impressed with the quality of the work I received from The Foundation Works, but what really sold me was how they followed through on all my concerns to make sure I was completely satisfied. They even came out to my house to fix a few loose wires that were dislodged during the construction. It's rare to find a contractor that truly delivers on what they promise, but The Foundation Works definitely came through. I would absolutely work with them in the future and would recommend them to anyone with foundation... read more
