We needed a quick turnaround because our insurance company would not cover our newly purchased home until the retrofit was completed. The foundation works came through with a seamless job - we didn't even need to be there. They coordinated with the city inspector, and provided us with the necessary paperwork to get insurance coverage.

Here is the gist: Anyone who doesn't get a bid from Foundation Works is a complete idiot. Alpha Structural come out to my place and tried to get 100k worth of work out of me (for a house that's only 1200 square feet). I told Alpha that that's crazy. They reduced it to 70k. Realtors told me to get a second opinion. Thank God I did. Foundation Works told me that my foundation is working as it is supposed to and that currently there is no need for caissons. Our house was sitting on top of the foundation squarely but was not bolted in place. Foundation works had done the initial inspection before we purchased the home, identified the problem, explained it to us very well, and wrote a report that helped us get money back to pay for the work as part of the purchase. The work was done quickly and professionally just before we moved in. So far, the house hasn't moved anywhere.

Quote process and work was excellent. I did have a bit of trouble with the finish work. Having never done this before I was unaware that the stucco finish was not covered in the contract and that I need to have an outside company come in to perform the finish work. Probably my fault for not knowing to begin with. Price was comparable to other quotes I received.
