I had a very unpleasant experience with the Zio patch. The first one fell off in less than **************************************************** about 10 hours so I had to use adhesive skin tape to hold it down. I am not sure what adhesive the monitor itself has, but the underlying skin looked and felt like corrosive acid had been poured. Red, terrible itching, blisters, bleeding, open sores. They billed me $66.89 for a heart monitor in Jan so I paid them. I received my Tricare summary a few weeks later & found they had paid IRhythm $66.89. I called IRhythm and explained they got paid twice & the woman told me they'd send a check when they get notice of payment. Absolute c*** and a scam. No reports . Nothing sent to attending physicians. Then a bill for ******* dollars. For what ???? And had a bad reaction to the adhesive used by IRhythm. I could go on and on about had bad the experience was but the reviews speak louder. I wish there was a negative 10 stars or a way to leave No stars at all.
I received a bill of $25 after insurance paid it's amount. I promptly wrote a check and mailed it April 28, 2024. The check was CASHED on May 5, 2024. A month later, I get a "Past Due" letter in the mail. I called the number customer service number listed on the bill to ask why I received bill. An automated recording stated that due to a high volume of calls, I need to give my phone number and name, and they will call me when I'm next. I received NO call. I truly feel this company is a total scam. The wife keeps getting bills from having a heart monitor placed on her from her heart doctor. She paid the bill an gets another one. Then she calls the support number an it hangs up on her after waiting 10 -15 minutes. We called another number to try an get help an it was an Indian lady that you couldn't understand 90% of what was said. Just wanted information for rewards an savings.
Horrible experience with this company! I had a horrible itchy burning allergic reaction after 2 days of wearing this monitor. I called my doctor immediately and I called this rhythm company. I told them my doctor instructed me to tell them immediately not to read the monitor and to throw it away upon receipt.They read it anyway and I received a large bill. Wore it for 14 days and sent it back. I called because I wanted a report sent to me because I wanted to review it with a relative who is a physician. They wont send it to me until after 14 days when my doctor sees it. I dont understand this at all. I wore it for 14 days. I sent it back to them. It was my heart. Why cant I get a report at the same time my doctor gets a report. It wouldnt be so bad but the doctor never gets back to you. This is such a crapshoot. Hopefully I wont get billed too much for it.
Every doctor needs to be fair warned of all the negative reviews on this company. It has a F rating and I advise everyone to print these reviews and give them to their doctors to see first hand it is not patients not paying it is very disorganized billing and third parties. They send you to collections with no warnings. When trying to set up payment plans they send you statements that do not work with no way to pay and when you do call to make a payment they have overcharges. Then they never pay overcharges back. I had a horrible experience with the billing department. While waiting for my insurance to cover the costs of the monitor, I had collections after me in a VERY short amount of time. This was alarming, so I used my *** card to foot the over $500 bill. Insurance finally covered the cost and I asked for a refund in the form of a check as I no longer had access to the *** card after leaving my job.
