Writing a review because frankly I am pissed. I called regarding a rental, left a message for a secretary and eventually the listing agent called. After nearly 10mins on the phone trying to schedule a viewing (she didn't like that my husband and I have those blasted things called full time jobs, wanted me to come at 2PM), she finally agreed to 6:15 in the evening. I'm with reviewer number 1-- if I could give them zero stars I would. We own a home in a subdivision run by them. We have paid all our bills on time for 3 years. Last week we got a late notice, for a water bill we never received. Today, we got a notice through certified mail, that we were being called to a due process hearing; they threatened to put a lien on our house and cut off our water bill. If you go to their website, www.unitedproperty.org and look at the rental apartment properties they manage at www.apartmentratings.com they all get bad ratings, that pretty much speaks to the company. here is the link to the one i was at http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/VA-Virginia-Beach-Grand-Cypress-Apartments.html Its amazing how many people they have listed on their website which should mean good service but most of them probably twiddle their thumbs on profits all day. If I could give this property management zero stars, I would. This company is one of the reasons why I will do my best never to rent. I rented a townhome that was managed by UPA and it was a nightmare. I had termites flying around my kitchen and when I complained, I was told to" just spray Raid." I had a washing machine that wouldn't drain water and a dryer that's heating element had gone crazy and was told that "they'll get to it when they have time."
