After my husband passed away, ****, from Americo never called or communicated in any shape or form. My husband's claim was denied, and I still don't know why? I am supposed to get the premium returned to me, nothing as of today. It has been three months and no return phone call from ****. Never again, this company is forthcoming.
THE WORST COMPANY TO WORK WITH!!! The sales agent *********************** never followed up to make changes to my policy. I had to call him back to follow up and no changes were EVER made! The company needs a new sales agent for sure. Called to cancel my policy and it took forever because the agent was new and clearly DID NOT KNOW WHAT SHE WAS DOING!Of course I was billed the next day after the agent specifically told me that auto pay has been cancelled. My son is mentally handicap and recieving money from the VA and ******************************* His grandmother purchased a policy for him and since has passed away. My son wants to cash out on his policy and correct documents have been mailed certified mail and received. They will not answer the phone nor have they responded to the certified mail. All the below reviews are unfortunately true. My mother passed away in February. We reached out to inform them of this and here we are in November, still with a 'death claim pending'. They have asked for all types of information, including a copy of her obituary, which I found to be odd when you are already requesting the death certificate as well. Attempting to call is moot. They cancelled my policy before even finding out that the info they received from ******** IntelliScript is totally wrong. They accused me of lying on my application because of miss information given them by this company. And dropped me before giving me a chance to prove it's wrong. That to me is a company I don't want to deal with ever. What they did was wrong and have me guilty of something I'm not.

Your customer service is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. In fact to call this customer service is an insult to people who work in customer service. I stayed on hold for 18 minutes to talk to a person who did not do anything to provide customer service. **********************'s game is to put you on hold until you hang up and delay paying the policy as long as possible. They sold a $1000 policy to my 81 year old mother who has dementia. All she remembers from the transaction with the scam artist is that it $1 a month. That was of course just for the first month.It matures when she is 124 years old. He preyed on this community knocking on doors and he should be ashamed. She could have put the 40 a month it actually costs, under her matress and gotten a better return. Complete c*** of a company and human being.
