Horrible company. My husband entered a partial withdrawl request on June 4th by fax and by uploading it into the portal. He has yet to recieve the money which was suppose to be directly transferred into our bank account. When you call cusomter service all they say is its in processing. They can't verify if there are any issues with the request (such as if it was properly completed). They just say that if there is a problem they will send out a letter. (something else to take more time). They won't allow you to speak to someo... read more

THIS IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY! They cancelled my loved ones policy for no reason. We paid our money every single month despite the numerous times they messed up our billing and tried on multiple occasions incorrectly. The policy was up to date and active then all of a sudden we call to make another payment and we are told that there was addendum sent out. We were told there would be and it was confirmed to us that it was sent to the WRONG ADDRESS! Which is no fault of ours. Now the policy is cancelled. MAKES NO SENSE. The emplo... read more

Sarah who works in the new business department has the worst customer service and is extremely entitled. She would not transfer the call to the inforce policy services. Speaking to terribly rude people like Sarah makes it difficult for clients to work with Americo. I had to cancel my policy because Sarah left a bad taste in my mouth and the last thing I would want is for my beneficiaries to have to deal with terrible people like her. Enough said. ZERO customer service. Can't get a hold of anyone, and our agent dropped us like a hot potato once he got our policies switched over. He was supposed to be working on a policy for my daughter. Now my daughter has no life insurance and he's nowhere to be found and all Americo is doing Is passing the buck off onto Mutual of Omaha who denied her. And don't even reply to me to message your customer service, Americo, because we are past that point months ago.

If I could give them a negative one star I would. They called me for state licensing and I was told to make a decision by Friday 5/3 I told them countless times that I was not unrolling to their life insurance policy. I never signed any paperwork and they charged my account after automatically enrolling. I was Scammed by this company. They transferred me to there “supervisor” he had me to say codes and not wanting me to look at text documents and didn’t give me information. They trapped me! WARNING ?? WARNING ?? I honestly feel these people are scam artists!! I called in for a QUOTE ONLY they told me I had to give them my account number to receive thier QUOTE. Not sure why FOR a QUOTE they assured me NOTHING would be taken out!! I told them I was not interested in the policy. I found out yesterday 4/9/24 they have been taking out $115.99 for 3 months for the policy. I had absolutely no paperwork for this policy. I was Scammed by this company. They called me trying to sell me there life insurance and I have a learning disability. I spoke with some lady of the name Kelly Gibson and I told her I needed to speak with my husband first before I sign up for anything. She lied and saying I need to start my “application “ and if I wish to change my mind and CANCEL!!!! Within 48 hours then I was able to do so. Really disappointed in their ability to connect with their policy holders. I have been a customer since 2021 and in that time I have received 1 document from them and that was after my initial sign up. I don't have a log in, if I have one I have no way to retrieve it on their website. I am directed to contact their customer service center but I am constantly on hold for upwards of 30-45 minutes each time I call. This is a disreputable and dishonorable company. Without informing me or the annuity agent, they provided an annuity policy with a lower rate than what they offered at the time of the application and what was supposed to be honored. On false pretenses then, I sent in a large check and only later when I went on their website did I discover that they had issued a policy with a lower rate. That went into an extended long period of weeks until a check was returned to me after having foregone a great deal of interest on the funds... read more
