Really disappointed in their ability to connect with their policy holders. I have been a customer since 2021 and in that time I have received 1 document from them and that was after my initial sign up. I don't have a log in, if I have one I have no way to retrieve it on their website. I am directed to contact their customer service center but I am constantly on hold for upwards of 30-45 minutes each time I call. This is a disreputable and dishonorable company. Without informing me or the annuity agent, they provided an annuity policy with a lower rate than what they offered at the time of the application and what was supposed to be honored. On false pretenses then, I sent in a large check and only later when I went on their website did I discover that they had issued a policy with a lower rate. That went into an extended long period of weeks until a check was returned to me after having foregone a great deal of interest on the funds... read more

WORSE customer service EVER! Called in to file a claim for my mother NO sorry for your loss, NO compassion OR empathy!!! . Make you jump through hoops to get your loved ones life insurance policy. Four weeks to process a claim after I paid $30 dollars to overnight it her death certificate DO NOT count on ONE dollars to assist in burial cost

Zero stars. We've been getting a monthly charge from Americo despite never setting up an account through them. My husband and I assume we got charged through Americo via our policy with American Income Life. We cancelled our policies with AIL 5 months ago and have continued to get charged monthly. We finally noticed it on the bank statement this month because we stopped getting text notifications of the withdrawals from AIL, so we didn't realize they were still happening. Don't even bother to get a life insurance plan through these people if you want your beneficiary to get paid they will stall they will play games they will do whatever they don't answer the phone they will just be ridiculous horrible company

Wish I could put zero stars. After cancelling my policy with them and deleting my account, I was charged for a separate life insurance policy I NEVER authorized, received a quote for, or even wanted. They have been awful with issuing a refund and I will be taking them to court to settle, as they admitted they have no record, invoice, or itemized receipt with my transaction or policy details. They’re all scum.

My husband got a call after looking at veterans life insurance. The man made it all sound good. I was telling my husband to not give out his info. He is 70 years old. After he hung up he got a call from veterans life insurance company. But he decided to not go ahead and to stay with the insurance he had. So he called the man from Americo right back and said he did not want to change companies, so he wanted to cancel. The man assured him that it was canceled. (Before it even started,.) I am having a negative experience with the company, and I have been struggling to get in touch with them for quite some time and that they have not been providing me with adequate customer service. I concerns about the legitimacy of the company and are considering legal action to potentially recover your money. If I could give a zero I would. Customer support was very rude to me. Needing copies of me and my husband's policy and unable to access them from my phone. They insisted on speaking to my husband after telling them multiple times he was on a ventilator and unable to speak. He actually said to me "he needs to go to the library and get on a computer" I requested a copy of my own policy to be emailed to me since I am currently in another state with my hospitalized husband.
