If Icould give this insurance company a 0 star, I would have done it but 1 star was the lowest. They definitely promise and tell you lies when they want to sell you the policy, and when you call them and start reading the written contract, it's a different story! “ Apparently I miss understood the policy” according to them. Don’t waste your time and money!

After spending an incredible amount of time speaking to an agent, I was told my monthly premium would be a certain amount but Americo drafted my account for nearly double the amount of what I was told. I canceled my policy immediately after realizing this. Americo is not a trustworthy organization.

If you’re building an agency/broker I do not recommend getting contracted to Americo. Main reason being is they do not care about the agents that contract with them. Honestly they’re similar to the United States Radical Left. Their underwriting allowed multiple agents to write multiple of the same clients, 4 different apps each. People without normal socials, routing or accounting. Which racked up $200k roll up debt for me. They will not take responsibility for anything and will continue to put it on agents. My wife suffering from alzheimer's and a crooked agent submitted a policy application and drew ***** out of her bank account without anyones knowledge. Obviously a scam as no reputable life insurance company would write a policy for a customer suffering with alzheimer's. I KNOW this for a fact as we tried to get a life policy to cover our mortgage and no company would write a policy for my wife.This ***** who did this to my wife should be stopped.

I filed for my policy to be closed back on august 23rd and sent the forms in. I followed up yesterday 9/12 and today 9/13 and they said they didnt have them. That i can resend them to the SAME EXACT EMAIL address i sent them to. Which obviously i have sent them to the correct address, what good does that do since you didnt get my first 3 emails? I wish I had looked at these reviews before committing to americo. Over 2yrs of funds down the drain. It doesn't make any sense that if someone has fallen on hardship that there's slim to none of consideration. The only way to receive the money that has been accumulating is either after 30 yrs or dying!! It doesn't even matter what the agent stated to gain the acct. Americo defrauds Senior Citizens and should be investigated. Our parents are 90 and 96 years old and have paid in over $200,000 in premiums for a Universal Life Policy and just received a letter saying their policy has expired! Can you imagine being a WWII Vet, who has lived longer than expected paying enough into a life insurance policy to more than buy his house and finding out as his life is winding down that this company tries to find loopholes to make sure the policy is cancelled before he ever needs to use the policy. ... read more

Americo is horrible! I saw the crappy coverage and canceled immediately before the policy went active. They never removed my bank information from their end and kept charging me. I called and got a refund, well,it happened again. This time putting me in overdraft! They refunded my money the next day,I told them this shouldn't happen because I canceled the policy,the representative said "she sees its canceled ". It happened again!
