This is a company that uses deceptive means to get your money. I called a number trying to reach my insurance company to inform them that I mistakenly received mail that belonged to a different client. Somehow I was redirected to this company. When I explained why I was calling, the agent pretended to be associated with my company and then tried to sell me an insurance policy using fraudulent means by giving me misinformation. It took me a few minutes to figure out what this guy was doing and put a stop to it! Beware!

Everything about this experience was terrible. Customer service is horrible. I gave them $3800 for their service. To show their gratitude, they took another $7600. I had no choice but to walk away, so they would take more. Don’t deal with them!!!
They don't deserve a star at all. It's a terrible and misleading company. I invested 3 years in the company for insurance and canceled it after 3 years. The coverage was misleading and I lost 3 years of my money with nothing refundable. I got hosed . It is a rip off.

Was bombarded by a phone call after overnight shift. I stated repeatedly over the phone I do not want a policy. I was send a policy confirmation number and a charge on my card. I repeatedly told them I do not give you permission to charge me I do not want a policy and now I’m getting emails saying my policy has been started. I’m going to stop payment through my bank. this company is dishonest to the point of not paying death claims -- i am a financial professional 35 years in the life and annuity business and never seen such deception and chicanery in the way AMERICO gets away with not paying death benefit claims on its Jointly Owned Non-Qualifed Annuity contracts when annuitant dies and the joint surviving owner spouse is beneficiary they don't allow lump sum payment payment option by way of 1035 exchange except for first doing spousal continuation of contract to include surrender charg... read more

Horrible company. My husband entered a partial withdrawl request on June 4th by fax and by uploading it into the portal. He has yet to recieve the money which was suppose to be directly transferred into our bank account. When you call cusomter service all they say is its in processing. They can't verify if there are any issues with the request (such as if it was properly completed). They just say that if there is a problem they will send out a letter. THIS IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY! They cancelled my loved ones policy for no reason. We paid our money every single month despite the numerous times they messed up our billing and tried on multiple occasions incorrectly. The policy was up to date and active then all of a sudden we call to make another payment and we are told that there was addendum sent out. Sarah who works in the new business department has the worst customer service and is extremely entitled. She would not transfer the call to the inforce policy services. Speaking to terribly rude people like Sarah makes it difficult for clients to work with Americo. I had to cancel my policy because Sarah left a bad taste in my mouth and the last thing I would want is for my beneficiaries to have to deal with terrible people like her.
