Bad service!! Have had nothing but problems with ESP. First when it came to the insulation they set a date to come out to install, but nerve showed up waited all day, and never got a call from them that they weren't coming at all! So the panels sat in my drive way for a week, and part on my sidewalk, and was in a the way. When it the panels were drop off they driver slide it to our land scarpering, and messed up our yard! After waiting seven weeks after instillation had finally gotten a date for the city inspector to come ou... read more

Horrible Customer Service I have had solar panels installed by this company for several weeks now. They were on time and did a great job. For two weeks, I have had "Permission to Operate" and my pannels are not on yet. I have called at least 10 times and have asked why I'm not using solar yet and no one can tell me. I have been told every time I call, that someone will call me back and it never happens. For me, it seems like now they got paid for their work, they don't care about the customer anymore. Very frustrated and dis... read more

Horrible experience with Voltaic & Energy Service Providers Be warned, Voltaic is door to door company that says a lot of "great" things but really never follows through on them. They make enough of a statement to hold their own but falls back to not following through on it. Energy Service Partners start out really great but then fall short pretty quick. They promise if you need a new electrical panel, it is easy or if they need to fix something, it is all part of the plan. However, they told me they had to D-rate my panel s... read more

Business response:

We're sorry you feel this way about the overall experience. You signed the installation agreement on March 22nd and your system was activated on July 26th so the process did take about 4 months. We apologize for the longer timeframe but it does tend to happen when anything like main panel or sub-panel upgrades are requested by the homeowner. We do our best to set proper expectations and communicate regularly and will review your project to find opportunities to improve. It is good to hear that our installation crews and part... read more

AVOID AVOID AVOID First off, don’t trust ESP, especially once they install the system. They use substandard components and won’t stand behind them once they fail. And they will fail. Second, don’t expect good customer service. They’re rude and you’ll be lucky if they respond to your concerns. When, and if, they do respond, they’ll sidestep any responsibility. In other words, after the install , you’re in your own. Third, if you do choose to use them, caveat emptor. During installation, the installer caused a voltage surge in... read more

Business response:

Hi Bruce, we're sorry you feel this way. We tracked down the system and have confirmed that it is operational at this time. Our team has been in touch with you regarding the electrical concern, and based on the report from the electrician it was determined that faulty components in an appliance unrelated to the solar was the issue, so we hope that you understand why it is not covered. We stand behind every one of our installations, the components we use, and the professionalism of our customer service team. In the rare event... read more

The worst I regret ever starting this process. I've been paying for the panels on my roof for months now and still the electricity does not flow. Things were supposed to be completed today. After waiting MONTHS for these guys to show up, they finally did. ESP's guys came, worked for a while, then came and told me PG&E canceled and they wouldn't be able to do the work. Ok, fine. I guess we can blame the monopoly power provider for providing monopoly customer service, right? Well, five minutes after the ESP guys leave, the cit... read more

Business response:

Hi Andy, we're very sorry for the miscommunication. The situation we encountered was a scheduling mixup by the utility team and we did not want to leave you without power overnight due to their delay. We received confirmation from them and have proof on file that they were scheduled to arrive per our communication to you, with an arrival time between 8AM and 12PM. Because they arrived late, we would not have had time to complete the work that day in order to receive the inspection and restore power, so we had to pull off the... read more

I am DONE Worst experience EVER!!! I started my Process in July of 2021, I still do not have an up grades electrical panel nor solar panels that are connected and working. I do have 14 panels that have been on my roof since the 2nd week of August 2021. I have been fed a long unimaginable line of BS from this corrupt company. I am still waiting on my electrical panel for the upgrade. I was told last week that it will be in sometime mid July, that was after being told in February that it would be in Mid May. I have been in con... read more

My issue with ESP does not pertain to the friendliness of the office staff or the installers. Both were kind throughout the whole process. My biggest complaint that makes it impossible for me to recommend to friends or family is their lack of communication and mis-communcation. I started my project in November 2021. My solar was activated on 4/13/22. Here are the key issues that show the communication breakdown: 1) A new subpanel was recommended by ESP in November during the drawing up of my solar plans. On the installation ... read more

Business response:

Hi Ashley, we sincerely apologize for the delays. We looked at our records and we do see an ample amount of communication with you, but clearly the internal communication as well as coordination with our subcontractors could have been much better. Rest assured we take this very seriously and want to always improve our processes - we will ensure that our subcontractor management team is made aware and can use this to improve. Thank you for your patience and understanding as well as your thorough feedback.

Horrible customer service I am totally frustrated at this point. I have called and spoke with project coordinator over the last 4 months and the story as to why my panels are not connected yet changes every time I call. I have asked to speak to senior management to resolve this and am told there is no direct line. I have asked to be called back by someone from senior management and have yet to get a call. I am paying monthly for panels on my roof that do nothing. I have asked for an eta several times and all I get is we don’... read more

Business response:

We apologize for any frustrations you're experiencing with the project progress. We are happy to help resolve any of your concerns and ensure that you are in touch with senior management. Unfortunately we're unable to look up your project just with a first name alone - please reach out to our Support team via one of the methods at joinesp.com/support. There are many reasons that electrical connection can be delayed, and rest assured we always try to make our side move quickly when it's not in an outside party's hands.

Beware of these guys READ, READ, READ ! Where do I begin, This company is horrible and doesn't give a crap about you after you sign the dotted line. If I didn't know better this felt more like a con game than a purchase of something you actually wanted. The experience has been horrible and as the writing of this review it still isn't over. ESP came out and installed Solar Panels 2/4/2022 and with crappy work they completely messed up all my major appliances. However initially I did not know it was their work that was the cul... read more

Business response:

We truly apologize for the experience you've had. We definitely care about our customers throughout the life of their installation. We have brought this to upper management and are committed to resolving this. You have a senior point of contact that we believe you and your wife have already been in touch with, so if you need anything along the way before this is wrapped up please reach out to him. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
