I purchased a costly life insurance policy after a convincing broker sold me on it. After 3½ years of payments I researched the company and found many negative reviews — most positive reviews appeared to be from new customers. I tried for three weeks to speak with a live representative to discuss my concerns. I received only automated responses and emails directing me to surrender the policy, which would cost me over $10,000. Call Americo about veterans life insurance. The quote they quoted me was less than what was taken out of my account. Called the gentleman that I talked to and he informed me that he no longer worked for the company. Tried to contact them for a week and there were always between 150 and 180 calls in front of me. My agent had never sent me my policy, but continues to make bank withdrawals. I have no information to give to my family on how to collect on my life insurance policy. My agent never responds to my many correspondences.

Americo Life Inc a complete scam. I never agreed to this type of policy, i am just now noticing a charge on my account. they have been charging me up to 4k total. I need this canceled out and full refund. this is not what i signed up for. Some named ****scammed me into this. going online and cant cancel, I've sent email and phone calls trying to cancel this out and nothing seems to work. This needs to be canceled out and full refund.

I wanted to give this company zero stars. I am still waiting on receiving some sort of a refund for a policy I paid, I am almost positive for two months. I haven't heard back from the one main agent, who set up the life insurance. If it is like this waiting on a refund, I can only imagine how it would be to wait on a pay out, for someone passing away. Unfortunately, a friend of mine is an employed agent with Americo. She talked me into a policy 3 months ago. But a few days after being talked into it, I called her to let her know I didn’t want to do it. She said that’s fine and relayed to me that she called her higher ups and canceled for me. Keep in mind, I have never received any form of digital or paper proof in the mail or email of my supposed “policy” and the website they say to look it up, does not show you it. This company is a scam. They hire freelance liars to sell the public their garbage insurance products. Once I found out the truth about this company I had a 30 minute talk with one of their cancellation staff. I verbally cancelled my policy and requested a written cancellation document to be emailed and mailed to me. I never received the mailed copy but I did receive the emailed copy.
