If I could give them a zero star I would, first I was scammed into a 10 year annuity where I only wanted to invest in a 2 year annuity and when I submitted a complaint I can't get a response from them. It's been over 2 months now with no response, I've emailed a times since and get the same automated response saying they've received my email and check my inbox and there's been nothing. I'm hoping to see if there is any legal action I can take regarding this matter. Seems like they have a license to steel!

Hi, I was recently interested in buying new insurance with a great return. I told the agent I wasn't totally sure if I wanted to get the policy because I had some other pressing issues that needed to be addressed. However bottom line is I called today; to cancel my policy and was told I wouldn't get my money back. I was outraged. I understand we have policies in place, but I said I couldn't afford it. I was searching for life insurance. Was contacted by an agent and did everything they asked. Had not completed my paperwork for the policy. My agent was pushy even after I told her I had changed my mind and wanted to wait because I had hand surgery. She told me that if I changed my mind and didn’t go thru with it I wouldn’t be able to get it ever again. I told I didn’t want it, made sure money wasn’t in the bank for them to take. Was mislead on surrendering my husband's WHOLE LIFE POLICY and I believe we were ripped off. On a good note, I never surrendered his policy. But the deceit will cost us money. My husband is a veteran, but that means **** in today's reality. I am stopping all auto debits, paid our MUTUAL OF OMAHA PREMIUM and advise all that there's to STAY AWAY. FYI; will acknowledge if 1st month premium is reimbursed.

I opened an annuity account with Americo in October of 2018 with my life savings of $11,000. As of November 9th, 2024, my account is worth $10,862.57. Americo has charged me thousands of dollars in fees to manage my account. They literally charge me money to lose me money. They refused to let me have money unless I paid a surrounding fee of $800. i got denied as Americo took 87.00 out of account and said i would get it back and its been a month and nothing as they took out again another 87.00 have the letter right here of denial so why keep on taking from my account and still not pay what they took out

Way over priced. Then when I canceled they kept my payment and would not issue a refund even though I had just made my payment. Said it takes 15 to 20 days to cancel a policy. I would not use this company.
