For better part over a year I got life insurance and they take it out of my account but never sent me my policy I called several times and asked for it. They always say they will but never have. They always through someone else under the bus and tell me I'm so sorry to hear this and they will send it but never do. I also left so many messages. Rich S********* called as an agent with Rocket Mortgage, BOY was I scammed. He was good, offered us a mortgage/Life insurance policy, said the policy would pay our mortgage up to 1 year in the event of one of us passing away, in addition to life insure. I own two Americo MYGA fixed annuities. I need to speak with customer service but I cannot get through to a live person. Wednesday, Thursday and today, I was on hold a had to hang up after 15 minutes. The nature of my work does not allow me to take call backs when I’m working. I will avoid Americo in the future. On a scale of 1-10 (one being the worst) Americo Life Insurance would rank around negative 10. It is next to impossible to speak with a real person. When you finally do, they cannot speak enough English to communicate. After being on hold for 54 minutes, I could not make the person understand what we needed. Insurance agent Shannon W***** contacted me and talked me into getting a policy (awesome persuasion, gross morals). He did NOT sell this policy as a life insurance policy. While on the call, he sent the texts containing confirmation numbers. All he told me to make sure our numbers matched. I WISH I would have read these reviews before I went looking for health insurance over the exchange. The agents will trick you into thinking you are ONLY receiving health insurance. But they automatically sign you up for life insurance even when you clearly (both verbally and in writing) indicate that you are NOT interested in any other type of insurance. They DO NOT tell you.
